Tiger II

King Tiger was one of Hitler’s last gambles, a “Wunderwaffe”, it was set to reverse the situation, taking part in the Normandy campaign, in the last major German offensive, Operation Wacht Am Rhein, and in the defense of Germany thereafter. Beyond the propaganda appearance, the last Germans wartime heavy tank was a very costly, over-engineered, fragile and fuel-glutton lumbering beast prone to breakdowns, since it weighed 20 tons more than the Panther and had the same engine and transmission.

Historians consider it a gigantic waste of skills and resources (for the same price, the Russians would be able to deliver 10 T-34/85's at a time). But it also left a deep imprint in tank design, illustrating both what can be achieved at the extreme an…

Jagdtiger

Jagdtiger is a common name of a German turretless heavy tank destroyers of World War II. The actual German designation was Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B as it was based off the length of Tiger II chassis. The 71 ton Jagdtiger was the heaviest amored fighting vechile used operationally during World War II and is the heaviest armored vehicle of any type to achieve series production. The vehicle carried a 128 mm PaK 44 L/55 main gun, capable of out-ranging and defeating any Allied tank. It saw service in small numbers from late 1944 to the end of World War II on both the Western and Eastern Front. Although 150 were ordered, only between 70 and 88 were produced. Due to an excessive weight, the Jagdtiger was continuously plagued with mechanical pro…

Tiger I

The Tiger I was was a German heavy tank from 1942 that was deployed and Africa and Europe, usually Tiger I were in heavy tank battalions. The Tiger I gave the German Army its first armoured fighting vehicle that was mounted with 8.8 cm KwK 36gun. 1,347 were built between August 1942 and August 1944. After August 1944, the Tiger I's production started to decline for in favour of the Tiger II and its production.

The Tiger I has been called an outstanding design for its time. The Tiger was prone to certain types of track failures and breakdowns, and was limited in range by its high fuel consumption, and It was expensive to maintain. It was difficult to transport, and vulnerable to immobilisation when mud, ice, and snow froze between its overla…

Panther

Panther tanks first saw action on the Eastern fronts. They also were used in Italy, France, Belgium and Holland. They took part in the Ardennes offensive, the battle of the Bulge plus the defence of Germany. It had a lot better cross-country mobility than the Tiger tank and has the same if not more hitting power, with its 7.5 cm Kw.K 42 L/70 long barrelled high velocity anti-tank gun. Around 6,000 were produced During World War II.

The sloped armor on the front kept the weight of the tank down but maintained its protection level. The angled front 80 mm armor glacis plate gave it more protection than the Tiger tank’s 100 mm vertical armour plate. This fact is not usually mentioned. An enemy’s standard armour piercing round fired from directl…

Sturmpanzerwagen A7V

A7V was a heavy tank that was introduced by Germany in the last year of the Great War (1918). During World War I, 100 chassis were ordered in early 1917, 10 were finished as fighting vehicles with armoured bodies, and the remainder were Uberlandwagen cargo carriers. The number to be armoured was later increased to 20. They were used in action from March to October 1918, and were the only tanks produced by Germany in World War I to be used in combat.

IS-2

As the German and Russian engineers reached a new point with the introduction on the German side, the Panther andTiger. The IS-2 was added into introduction as soon as its main armament was ready. With a partly sloped frontal armor which included 120 mm (4.72 in) thick and a new massive 122 mm main gun, the new heavy tank seemed to be just the trump card Stalin needed to wash over any armored opposition on the Eastern Front. Or so it seemed on paper. In reality, some shortcuts were taken to meet expectations. These would prove real issues in the long run, starting with the gun itself, slow to reload and with bulky two-piece naval ammunition.

KV-VI

The KV-VI or KV-VI Behemoth, is one of the most famous fake tanks on the internet. A super-heavy tank project armed and three prototypes claimed to have been built between from 1941-1942, serving against the Germans near Moscow and Leningrad. Many claim it is not a hoax, but in fact a fantasy model which was entered in a sci-fi scale model competition that has been taken out of context since it was posted on the internet back in 1997 by its creator.

This tank had KV-2 turrets contained, two KV-1E turrets, an AER T-38 turret, an Italeri BT-5 turret, an Italeri Katyusha, and a Zvezda T-60 turret, and Dragon tracks. Three KV hull welded togather. If this massive beast exsisted, it would of weighted 138 tons, would have a crew of about 15, move…

Karl mortar

7 of these beasts were built. The largest self-propelled gun during the war, only seven units of this gargantuan self-propelled siege mortar were built between 1940 and 1942, but Karl mortar development goes far back as 1937. It was decided to make it self-propelled in January 1937, using very long, large tracks and a Daimler-Benz MB 503A gasoline or Daimler-Benz MB 507C diesel engine, which supplied between 4 to 4.8 hp/ton depending on which model it was. All seven were almost weighed around 120-125 tons, armed with a 600 mm (24 in) howitzer. Each shell weighted almost a ton and was given a 500 kg warhead. Mobility was limited, and it relied on a trailer and crane for ammo. It could also be disassembled and loaded on a special train for l…

Panzerjäger Tiger (P) Ferdinand

The Ferdinand is a heavy tank hunter that had a 88 mm Pak 43/2 L/71. Its armor was 60 to 200 mm (0.6 – 7.87 in) thick. It had poor mobility and mechanical unreliability greatly diminished its operational capability, but it did have extremely great fire power and protection. This heavy tank hunter was most successful destoryer employed during the war in kills per loss, knocking out around 300 kills and onlt lossing between 13 to 15 Ferdinands at the Battle of Kursk.

Only two Ferdinands have survived World War II, one captured by the Americans and one captured by the Soviets. The one that was captured by the Americans is at the United States Army Ordnance Museum's collection at Fort Lee, VA. The other captured by the Soviets is at  Kubinka Tan…

KV-1B

During World War II the Germans captured hundreds of amored vechiles throughout the war. It is not the only tank during the World War II that was retrofitted in the field to accept a gun from another nation. The other examples included Churchill NA 75 and the Matlda. In both cases, they were not captured vehicles.

The KV-1B was one of the captured tanks by the Germans, it was a Kv-1 captured by the Germans during World War II. Their was only one KV-1B ever built during the whole war. The Germans added to the KV-1B 7.5cm KwK 40 L/43 and got rid of either of the 57mm, 85mm, or the 122mm on the KV-1. The KV-1 has 30 to 100 mm of armor (1.18-3.93 in). But the Germans did not add any armor to it.

During the war the Germans found these abandon KV…

What tanks are missing?

What tanks are missing in world of tanks? Of course, over +450 tanks, there are some missing tanks.

I will mention some wheeled tanks in this blog :)

  • 1 Valient
  • 2 KV-1B
  • 3 KV-754
  • 4 A-34
  • 5 Ho-Ri
  • 6 PaK Puma
  • 7 ASU-57
  • 8 Object 120
  • 9 Harry Hopkins
  • 10 AMC/AMR cruiser tanks

A British prototype tank. It was a proposal for all armor at the front, being similar to the Battleship layout of "All or Nothing". However (Historically at least) during test trails, the suspension was often loaded to the limit at the front. The design was poorly made, with a driver's controls that if pushed too far, got stuck and if you hit your head as the driver, it was often unplesant. The clutch was also poorly made, if pushed to far, it often go stuck and had to be removed otherwise. This tank…

Somebody Once Told Me...

Original Lyrics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ZYgIrqELFw

Somebody once told me a Maus was gonna roll me
I ain't the sharpest ship in the shipyard...
It was kinda ineffective against everything and got sunk in the middle of a battle...

Well, the shells start coming and they don't stop coming
Fed to the trolls and hit the ground running
Didn't make sense not to live for fun
Your crew gets smart but your team gets dumb
So much to do, so much to see
So what's wrong with taking the back flank?
You'll never know if you don't go
You'll never get an ace if you don't go

Hey now, you're a tanker, get your game on, get an ace!
Hey now, you're a captain, get your guns on, go bombard!
And all that bullets is gold,
Only true commanders break the rust...

It's a cool…

Why Sidescraping with the front of the hull is a bad idea

So we know that the front of the tank has the strongest armor, right? It makes sense to side scrape with the front, but it turns out that’s actually a bad idea. Here’s why - when trying to sidescrape with the front of your tank, the tank’s frontal armour is sloped both on the upper glacis plate and lower glacis plate. The lower glacis place is not angled correctly for sidescraping, coupled with the fact that it has often weak armour, which makes sidescraping front a bad idea since anyone can just penetrate the front armour.

Purchasing Premium tanks

Premium tanks are a way to generate credits and free XP. They do not require research, cheaper to repair, and crew trainers. Normal premium tanks can be bought with gold and real money. Event premium tanks, such as the KV-2 (R) can only bought with real money, or earned from stages.

  • 1 Researching
  • 2 Discounts
  • 3 Purchasing
  • 4 Somethings wrong...
    • 4.1 In-game good is not there
    • 4.2 I did not make that purchase
    • 4.3 Wrong account

Its always reccommended to do some research about the premium tank you want before considering purchasing. For example, you are considering to but the Strv S1. You decided to do research and it turns out, its cheap to repair, superior gun (Gold ammo rarly needed, high velocity), and cheap standerd ammo. Many players consider this tank a…

Suggestions for Wargaming: WoT

This is my suggestions for wargaming. This what I think of how to balance the game/make it more fun. Will change according to updates

  • 1 Economy
  • 2 Mechanics
  • 3 Graphics
  • 4 Tanks
  • 5 Events
  • 6 Other

  • Increase battle awards by 60%
    • Include gold awards in certain medals
  • Slightly increase sell value of tanks
  • Decrease price of camo rent
  • Insurance :P

  • Make the rocks more grippy
  • Allow drifting physics ;)
  • Make tracks look more flexible (add more slack)
  • Slightly improve physics
  • Add an over-penetration mechanic (Means that the shell would pass through that tank without detonating properly to do damage).
  • Allowing traversing with one working track (Like War Thunder where you can still traverse in a certian way if there is one track still intact).

  • Make certain maps more livley rather …

Battle Mechanics: How To Use Them

WoT is more complicated than you think. There are a lot of battle mechanics that may help you win. We will simplify and talk how to use them to your advantage. The videos are here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qrQ1UPltXg, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFktFSJZPsQ, https://worldoftanks.com/en/media/6/armor-penetration/ (But I'll further simplify them if I can).

Lets take the size of the tank, only the actual size is counted (Machine guns, decor, and the gun is not counted, but the turret and the hull does). Now, this is where how spotting comes: 2 checkpoints on the front of the hull, 2 on the sides of the hull, and one on the gun. The checkpoint on the gun turns to two checkpoints when the gun moves, one on the gun and one where the g…

Game Machines: How To Maximize Performance

  • 1 Introduction
  • 2 Requirements
  • 3 Communications Ports
  • 4 Graphics
  • 5 *Overclocking*
  • 6 Other
  • 7 Fixing Network Problems

Usually, playing WoT/WoW would mention a proper gaming machine (Which some of us can't afford), PC to be exact. But there are players with low-end computers, needing to place a lowest graphic setting possible. Some of us have machines so low powered, that they only manage to get minimal FPS, even at the lowest setting. This is why I brought this up: for the ones who have low powered computers/PCs. Yes, the ones who have the proper equipment can follow these steps to maximize game performance.

Note that for maximum object resolution, set the 3D render resolution to max instead of dynamic.

To start, let's look at WoT's system requirements. It s…

Mods: What Are They And How To Use Them

  • 1 What are mods?
  • 2 How to install one?
  • 3 I can't enter a battle with mods
  • 4 What are forbbidon mods?
  • 5 Conclusion

Mods are modifiers that alter the gameplay for the player thats using it. It does not affect other players. The mods range from mods that help you with situational awarness, to mods that make certian vehicles appear different. Please remember that the mod must be up to date with the game's current version (Or else they will not work). When looking for one, its recommended to look here: https://wgmods.net/. They usually come in zipped (Compressed) folders and it is recommended to extract the folder and then move the mod into the correct folder to ensure it works.

To install one:

  1. Confirm that the mod you want will work with the game's curre…

My way: Using Strv S1

Although I do read WG articles (Both Official and Unofficial), I play my own way, especially with Strv S1.

  • 1 Beggining of Battle
  • 2 Middle of Battle
  • 3 End of Battle
  • 4 Conclusion

When I spawn I usually go to a sniper spot that gives a clear view of targets and a passage way that players usually has targets to damage. RNG will either hide me, show me on radar to snipers and other tanks, or put me on arty's lunch list. Because of Strv's low profile+hydropetumpic suspension, I like to use hills to my advantage when I can. If there are situations where most roles are taken, I go scouting: camp in a bush and passivly spot.

There are two ways, Win possiblity means I go and start meeting others at close up range, or losing, I pull back or hold a position/det…
