The Fubuki is a tier VI Japanese Destroyer.

An important evolution in destroyers in terms of armament and power. Unlike the earlier destroyers that carried light artillery, she boasts the 127mm Type 3 naval gun as her means of artillery; the first of such heavy armament on a destroyer. Adding to her arsenal, she holds three triple torpedo launchers capable of firing the infamous 610mm oxygen torpedo (Although this was initially the type 8, which was later replaced by the type 90; the same ones used on the Tone, Takao, etc.).

Comparing her speed to the other tier VI destroyers, she sits slightly below average (But this is due to the weight of the weapons she carries). Her turning circle is inferior to that of the many said tier VI destroyers.

The following is spoilers and historical inaccuracy about this vehicle! The reason Wargaming did this is due to game balancing in most cases! To see, click open

  • There were three types of the Fubuki-class (Two sub-classes)
    • The Type I was the original design, holding three 127mm twin turrets.
    • The Type II (Or Ayanami-class destroyers) featured the model B 12.7 cm and other improvements
    • The Type III (Or otherwise known as the Akatsuki-class destroyers). Unlike the previous two, the Type IIIs featured new boilers, increasing their top speed to 38 knots (And a boiler was omitted as result, resulting in a smokestack redesign).
  • The in-game model of Fubuki is the post-1943 configuration of many Fubuki destroyers.
    • Due to stability issues and the threat of American aircraft, the X turret was removed for additional anti-aircraft.
    • Fubuki herself was sunk during action in 1942 before the reconfiguration.
