The STG Guardis a Tier VIII Soviet Premium Medium Tank.
Also known as the ”STG Guardsmen”, it is based off of the STG and indeed has the same characteristics as it; the only noticeable difference is the camouflage you get - in legendary style and the fancier name. It equips the disadvantages - a rear mounted turret and only 45 mm of side armor that prevent you from sidescraping but also its many advantages - the alpha 390 damage and decent penetration of 212 mm, a strong very streamlined 210 mm turret with 180 mm turret cheeks and strong frontal well sloped 100 mm of frontal armor that can bounce shots of lights and mediums if you don’t expose you lower glacis plate. If you do find cover and facing a Heavy Tank or Tank Destroyer from a distant, hide your lower and upper glacis plate and only expose your turret - it proves almost impenetratable to even Tier X Tank Destroyers and will save your life in a situation. It also costs the same amount as the STG - the rather expensive price of 9700 gold but the many benefits will help make up for this when you receieve the amount of credits you deserve - it retains the same 50 kmh of top speed that allow to support for bigger allies or chose a safe place to shoot from - but not too far to ensure your gun is still accurate as Soviet guns suffer from accuracy.
